Where the Wild Things Are

When we started putting together the nursery, I knew I wanted to be intentional about everything in it. No rushing, no buying something just because it’s cute, and incorporating as many special pieces as possible: those were my rules.

"I'll eat you up! I love you so!"
So now when I sit in Sully’s room, I see a chair that his dad and I drove to Atlanta for, a yarn hanging I made from a trip to the craft store with my friend, a blanket Cody got me for Mother’s Day, a basket of blankets made by special ladies. I see a cross stitch pattern made by an Etsy seller turned friend, a Wild Thing cross stitch stitched years ago for this very occasion, and a crib that Cody surprised me by putting together. I see our old stuffed animals, a new one I sewed just for Sully, and wallpaper that took us a whole day to install.
I see love from our friends and family, and a future where we read, sing, laugh, and play. Sully’s room is a room full of answered prayers and many blessings, and it’s by far my favorite place in the house.
Thank you Hannah from Hannah Miller Photography for capturing our little man's room so perfectly!!
